Mrs. India USA is produced by the IFC, based in New York City. The IFC is a pioneer organization in conducting Indian pageants and fashion shows in the USA and worldwide. The committee has been conducting Miss India USA since 1980 and Miss Teen India USA since 2012 and Mrs. India USA Pageants since 2013.
The pageant was an instant success from the first year. It is the only authentic Indian pageant for married women in USA.
The IFC selects distinguished local organizations in various parts of USA and authorize them to conduct national pageants in their respective states. Most of the State Directors of Mrs. India USA are the same who have been associated with us as State Director of Miss India USA. Needless to say, they all are experienced and experts in organizing pageants. IFC reserves the right to select a contestant through audition from a state where there is no state pageant. At this time Mrs. India USA is conducted in conjunction with Miss India USA and Miss Teen India USA.
The contestants are of Indian origin, of any age, and are citizens, residents, or have been living in USA for six months and more. Applicants can be married, widowed, divorced with or without children. The idea is to empower Indian women around the world irrespective of their marital status. The IFC motivates and guides its winners and contestants to take up charitable causes. The pageant consists of three segments – Evening Gown, Indian Dress and Question/Answer. There is a talent segment for two minutes. The winners of all the various state pageants from all over the USA vie for the glamorous and prestigious title of the Mrs. India USA.
Mrs. India USA aims to create and empower role models who will serve as ambassadors to charity, enrich the perceptions to beauty, and enhance a new strength, energy and spirit for the advancement of Indian women while positively impacting their communities. This is a pageant that will provide Indian women around the USA with a platform where they would get an opportunity to “Make A Difference To The World.”
